Mr Draycott was the outstanding Solicitor I had beside me when I was falsely accused of a serious crime and my whole world fell apart. From the very first meeting, I knew I had found the best Solicitor to represent me. He listened and understood me. He gave me empathy and support beyond the call of duty which enabled me to face the frightening situation that I was in.
Shaun Draycott steered us through the CCRC application that led to the 2nd appeal and was truly invaluable in the entire process, he brought total belief in Ched and dedication to the cause. His greatest strength in my opinion is the humanity he brings to the legal process, and the care and consideration he showed our vulnerable witnesses, is a prime example.
When my son faced legal proceedings, he was extremely fortunate that a professional colleague recommended the services of Shaun Draycott to him. Shaun is one of the most competent and empathetic people I have ever met! As well as being an outstanding professional with a complete understanding of legal proceedings and matters, the support that he afforded my son and his close family was simply the best in all aspects. We will always be grateful to him.
Divorcing my wife was a painful experience, but to be falsely accused of criminal assault by my (now) ex-wife made a difficult situation worse and, potentially, threatened my whole professional career. I was immensely grateful to you for understanding the impact of this on me and my family and for personally devoting your time and energy to advising and guiding me through my interview with the Police under caution. Your calm presence and deep experience were invaluable in helping me deal with a totally unfamiliar and un-nerving interview. The fact that the Police thereafter decided not to refer the matter to the Crown Prosecution Service spoke volumes. Without your professional advice, clear understanding of my concerns and sympathetic personal approach I do not believe that I would have been able to give my evidence as calmly as I did. Thank you Shaun not just from me but also my family.
For the last three years I have been living a nightmare.
It was with both joy and a great sense of relief that I was finally exonerated of any wrong-doing at Liverpool Crown Court on the 18th October 2018.
I wish to express my sincere gratitude to my legal team, Michael Neofytou and Robert Shaw of 25 Bedford Row Chambers, London together with Rob Mann of Draycott Browne solicitors, Manchester.
All three of them believed in me throughout and guided me through the most turbulent time of adversity that I have ever faced.
I would also like to thank all those friends and former constituents who stood by me during this extremely stressful time. To all of them, I am extremely grateful.
I now seek to concentrate on re-building my life.
